Juicy Couture Handbags
Juicy Couture handbags are sleek, modern, and flirty. Juicy Couture bags seem to be the rage this season with women of all ages. Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Taylor (wife of John Taylor of Duran-Duran) founded Juicy Couture as a T-shirt company in 1994. The company changed drastically in 1999 with its entrance into the denim and sportswear market. The item the company is most famous for is "The Track Suit." The Track Suit was made famous by its low-riding draw string pants and form fitting zip-up hoodies in a variety of colors.
In 2003, Juicy Couture was purchased by Liz Claiborne, Inc. All Juicy Couture items are manufactured with the company's signature logo, two highland terriers holding a shield bearing three hearts and love from P&G (Pat and Gela). A crown sits overhead and a Juicy Couture banner flutters below the slogan, "Made in the Glamorous USA." Juicy Couture's label became famous through a brilliant marketing ploy. They invited celebrities such as JLO, Cameron Diaz, and Madonna to shop for free. Then, they took pictures of these famous women with their chosen items to raise the label to its current level of fame.
Today under Liz Claiborne ownership, Juicy Couture markets men's, women's, and children's collections, as well as fashion accessories including jewelry, handbags, and swim wear. Skaist-Levy and Taylor are still co-presidents of the organization.
