Christian Dior Handbags

Christian Dior handbags are the definition of classic beauty. Christian Dior handbags offer styles ranging from the popular hobo, shoulder bags, large shoppers, drawstring bags and their trademark saddle pouches. Cristian Dior handbags are a great investment that will last for years even with daily use. Christian Dior was born in 1905, in Grenville, France where he lived for five years until his family moved to Paris. Christian Dior moved to the Soviet Union after the untimely death of both his mother and brother. He was in bad shape financially, so an old friend gave him a place to stay and helped him start his career sketching dresses and hats.

Christian Dior started to sell those sketches, and some famous actresses purchased them. In 1941, he moved back to Paris, where, after a few years, he held his first show of 90 outfits. After his first collection, Christian Dior decided to "Bring back beauty, feminine clothing, soft rounded shapes, and full flowing skirts." He wanted to make women feel like flowers and he called this collection the COROLLE, also known as the "Ring of Petals" collection.

Although many people loved Christian Dior's styles, some did not and held protests! Nonetheless, every six months he released a new line, ultimately releasing 22 lines. Dior became known as "The Master," dying in 1957 of a sudden heart attack. The company continued to prosper and dominate the fashion industry after his death.

In the 1960's, Christian Dior shocked the fashion world with designs which included motorcycle jackets made of alligator skin and mink coats with ribbed sweater sleeves. In 1960, Mark Bohan took over the company and continued its expansion, opening up stores in New York City, Paris, Las Vegas, and Hollywood. Christian Dior expanded its line of goods, adding shoes, necklaces, earrings, perfume, cologne, pens, hats, scarves, and other accessories. Today, Christian Dior is known for wonderful gowns and handbags.
