The Buzz
The buzz starts with Camila Alves, Brazilian super model and wife of actor Mathew McConaughey, has developed a new handbag line (with her mother) that is set to debut in the summer and fall of 2008. The handbag line is called MUXO which means "Goddess of Water" in African. This handbag line is unique because each purse is handmade and one of a kind. Camila says that the handbag line was influenced by two places in which she spends most of her time, Brazil and New York.
The model admits that she created the line "because I travel a lot, I found that there weren't any handbags available that were strong and sexy enough at the same time...Everything was either too small (really cute but impractical) or too big (way too practical, but not at all fashionable). So I wanted to create a handbag that fit my lifestyle...(and my laptop at the same time)." MUXO is describe as "Bohemian chic."
One of my favorite designers when it comes to clutches is VBH. VBH clutches have become the hot, hot, hot evening bag of choice for celebrities on red carpets. But these clutches can be used daily also. There is a VBH clutch for everyone and every occasion, including glamorous evening clutches adorned with beads, sequins, and Swarovski crystals.
The Balenciaga Bag may be the most perfectly designed handbag in the history of handbags. With a double handle, as well as a strap, for carrying, it comes in nearly every color, multiple sizes, and is made with distressed leather that will look good twenty years from now. This bag is worn by Hollywood stars such as Sienna Miller and Nicole Ritchie. Balenciaga bags are trendy, yet classic and prove that quality never goes out of style.
The buzz on Fall is Kooba's 2008 collection. It is a merger of innovative new designs with signature Kooba style, Gorgeous glazed leathers, glowing patents, and vintage materials are used in a rich color palate of plums, deep reds, metallics, amethyst, and caramel. Two of this season's new styles are the Blake, a multi-use, oversized tote and the Jenny, a messenger/shoulder bag. Available in either patent leather on earth-tone lambskin, these new styles are graceful, chic, and sophiticated.
Also, the buzz this year are the Tracy, a large, hobo shoulder bag, the Josephine, a sophisticated clutch, and the Remi, a miniature chain pouch. All are available in a variety of colored leathers as well as taupe, chocolate, and brick suedes. There are two versions of the popular Natasha offered this fall. If returns in both leathers and suedes trimmed in patent. The new versions have soft pleating which adds a feminine touch.
