Louis Vuitton Handbags
Since 1854 the artisans at Louis Vuitton Handbags have been crafting timeless classics, quality leather goods. Louis Vuitton was born in 1821 and opened his first store in Paris in 1854; it was followed 31 years later by a London store. By 1989 there were 130 stores worldwide.
Louis Vuitton began with a luggage line. Their luggage line now includes garment carriers, travel trunks, flight bags, laptop cases, vanity cases, dog carriers, hat boxex, jewelry cases, golf bags, diaper bags, and passport covers. Louis Vuitton is also a handbag designer. In 1896, the now famous monogram canvas bag was created by George Vuitton, Louis' son. In 1998, Marc Jacobs joined Louis Vuitton as Artistic Director and created the Monogram Vernis line, which featured embossed patent leather in a variety of colors.

The Noe is a drawstring bag with a square base, created in 1932 to carry four champagne bottles. How fortunate that was, as 35 years later Louis Vuitton merged with Moet Hennessy! Other handbags include the Speedy and the Elipse. The Neverfull is one of the newest additions - a large beach bag style for city living. The Papillon is a barrel bag with shoulder straps and the Theda is a slouch grab bag.
In 2004, Louis Vuitton celebrated its 150th anniversary.
